Step Down for Sebelius?

10/22/13

Several Republicans are saying that Health and Human Services Secretary should step down because of issues relating to the Obamacare website. Since its launch there have been many problems with the technology and other things. Sebelius gave the impression to the Congress that the site was ready to launch and would perform flawlessly, knowing otherwise. Despite all this President Obama addressed this by saying that there are issues but also many people have been able to sign up and save money instantly.

In my opinion someone should be held responsible for the problems. If there were so many problems and someone owned up to them before it started we would have been able to get them fixed prior to the launch and save stress and arguing. If Sebelius really did know about problems but did not share her knowledge I think that she should definitely blamed and held responsible for the current situation. Her along with anyone else that had this same knowledge.

  1. I agree with you Nathan. The Democrats painted Obamacare as something big that would change the nation for the better for years to come, and yet, they can't even get their website running. Maybe they should have taken care of the problems on their website before letting Obamacare come out. It just seems a little hypocritical.

  2. I also agree with both of you. The government should take the time to check these kinds of things before releasing them to the public. I also agree that Sebelius should be held completely accountable; it would be one thing if she had been ignorant of the problems, but her prior knowledge to the issues of the website condemn her.
